Autoresponders

Most people who work online full-time, eventually get to the point where they may feel like the computer is running their lives, rather than the other way around. Especially in the opening stages of getting an online business up and running, all the hard work and long days and nights invested just to get the sites up and running and the publicity out, leaves many feeling frazzled and worn-out. But here is where all that hard work gets rewarded. Once things are set up, it is possible to almost fully automate your network marketing online, with something called autoresponders.

Autoresponders are pure gold to Internet marketers, and make it easy to contact your entire downline, clients, prospects, upline, and even random people almost without any effort at all. These handy gizmos are also referred to as mailbots, auto emailers, and email responders. Autoresponders will save you time and money, and investing in one will pay great dividends in short order – and they are inexpensive, ranging from less than $20 to over $50, and some hosting companies offer them for free. There are also free autoresponders available for download on the Internet, but these are not normally recommended, as they typically include extra advertisements attached to the emails that are sent, which makes your business look unprofessional and takes away from what your company is selling.

Once you have a formidable mailing list, can you imagine writing out emails and sending them to all your contacts? Separate emails for upline people, downline, your own client list, and not to mention prospects and people just interested in what you are up to. A good Web site will always have a page where people can fill out their personal information and join your mailing list. So, without an autoresponder you, or your staff, will have to respond to each of these emails personally! That is a lot of emails to write! You likely also will want to produce weekly newsletters, updates, inspirational memos, and so forth.

Autoresponders do more than just answer your email for you, although getting something to do only that would be worth its weight in gold. They can be set to periodically send any type of information that you desire, on whatever schedule you determine. For example, if you want to send out a daily ‘pep talk’ to your downline, it is as easy as sending a normal email.

Setting up an autoresponder for a network marketing business requires three separate contact lists: clients, downline, and prospects. Each of these requires different messages, as each will require different information. Clients or customers will need to know about new inventory, specials or sales that you may be running, product details, and benefits. Autoresponders are a cheap and easy way to advertise and keep your company in people’s minds. Prospects may receive similar emails as clients, but also will need to know about what opportunities await by joining your company. You can also take the opportunity to enlighten and educate prospects about what network marketing is and what your company does.
